Things I’m loving; today is a good day

I’m loving the thing’s I’m loving series from the wonderful Megham from MNMs adventures who I meet at blog camp last weekend (more on this later). So I thought I’d get snapping and share some photo if things I’m thankful for and things I’m loving here at NZ Ecochick head quarters.

I’m loving all the beautiful spring blossoms on my fruit trees. I’m super excited about the beautiful ones on my peach and nectarines trees. This is the first year they have blossoms since they got leaf curl last year. Can’t wait to eat fresh fruit from our orchard!!!
I’m super excited I found my “lost” garlic order. I already have 3 varieties of garlic in the garden growing nicely but you really can never have too much garlic. So I have these puppies in the fridge at the moment so will put them in the garden this weekend.
I’m loving the speculaasjes (Dutch spice biscuits) that I’ve been making. I haven’t been able to get them to come out of the moulds intact so I’ve been baking them as biscuits. Still so super yummy. Poor mum came for morning tea in the hope to eat some but they were all gone (sad face). Don’t worry mum I made another batch today and promise to save you some.
I tidied the plastics drawer. Oh yes shock horror NZ Ecochick has a plastics drawer. Here it is all nice and tidy. I’ve managed to get rid of most of the plastics out of this drawer but well nothing, here is what’s left.
baby_feeding_nzI love that my angel can hold his own glass bottle for a fed. Moreover I am loving that he seems to be taking to his new formula. He has lactos free formula which is expensive so we’re slowly trying to change him to another one so far so good. Yes I don’t breast feed want to know why? nothing of your freaking business (and I don’t want any comments on this issue it’s my body and my baby).
I’m loving that my girls lay four eggs today. In average we’re getting three eggs a day ahh heavenly. I love the sound of a hen announcing she’s lay an egg. Ha ha so funny to hear John copying them. You can tell a child who has chooks as when asked what noise they make they don’t say tok tok tok.
I love that today was sunny and I could hang up three loads of washing. Aww nice and clean. I love clean washing though I don’t love putting washing away but that’s another story.
I love that spring is here so John and I can have picnics outside again. I love eating outside especially now that the chooks come rushing over to see if there is anything for them just like hungry dogs and they look just as hopeful.
What are you thankful for today?

So AWESOME to have you linking up this week – yay! Those eggs are truly awesome – I can’t imagine how cool it must be to have your own eggs every day – sadly we don’t have the space at the moment but dreams are free right?! xx Meg
