Plastic free lunches plus a giveaway

Making kids lunches or snack bags can use a lot of plastic. It’s estimated that in New Zealand in one year one child uses 105 metres of plastic!!! That is insane! Not to mention the other thousands of metres people waste in their homes!! We have a almost full role of plastic wrap that we opened back in 2011 and I don’t see it being used any time soon. Might get rid of it actually. Check out how you can make your child’s lunch plastic free.
reuse_nz_homesteadSo how do I keep John’s snack bag plastic free (he’s not at school yet but the same principles would apply) I use a collection of snack bags and pockets mostly from the fantastic 4myearth.
These pockets are great as I fill them with all sorts of goodies and John can open and close them himself and take what he wants when he wants.
I love this system of food storage as these bags take up hardly any room and grow to fit lots in them. These bags are not just for children they are great for adults lunch boxes too.
I love that 4myearth’s wraps are biodegradable and can be hand or machine washed. These wraps and pockets will last you and your family many many years. So time for a giveaway…
I have one wonderful 4MyEarth Sandwich Wrap (one piece) to give away to one lucky New Zealand family.
Thank you so much to the wonderful

I love this! I am going to gift my nieces with these. They do use washable containers already, but these are really cool!!

It’s all these ‘little things’ we can do that help preserve this wonderful world of ours – thanks Madeleine 🙂
