Don’t you hate it when you run out of an important ingredient right in the middle of a recipe? Or you really want to make something but am missing that all too vital ingredient? Grr I wanted to make some fudge but the recipe needed condensed milk and I so could not be bothered going to the shops so a quick google search and thanks to cooks.com I had a substitute. 10 minutes later I was back on fudge track.
Condensed milk substitute
2 free range eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
This condensed milk substitute tasted great and seems to have worked well in my fudge recipe. I think I’ll use this from now on as it was super easy to make and I always have these items in my pantry no need to buy an extra item that i may or may not use. I love a quick fix.
