Homemade kiddies gifts

Seems you my lovely readers love homemade gifts my post on Christmas gifts was SO super popular that I think I’ll have to do a sequel since I’ve found heaps more cool ideas. I’ve also found heaps of cool kiddies gifts so I thought I would share these with you.

I love play dough and there are so many fantastic chemical free recipes out there. I love this glitter and also this candy cane play dough. I can’t wait to make this when John is a little older; at the moment he’ll just eat it!

gifts_kids_nzMy sister in law makes beautiful aprons as gifts. You can make waterproof ones or double sided ones or patchwork ones the options are endless. You can find an easy pattern over at scattered thoughts of a crafty mom

gifts_kids_nz I love taggies and made one for John before he was born I really love this owl soft toy taggy. So super cute. I really love owls at the moment there are loads of cool owl fabrics and patterns out there.

gifts_kids_nz Eye spy books are fantastic. You can either make a cloth one with little ornaments in it or you can make a photobook. I also love these eye spy bags, though personally I would fill them with rice or wheat rather than plastic beads.

gifts_kids_nzI adore these busy books and roll. I really want to make one of these. John is very much into opening things and trying to put things together so I think it’ll keep him busy for ages. The roll is great for little ones as you lye the book on the ground in front of your little one. Hours of fun!

gifts_kids_nzWhen I was growing up I had a tent play house. I spent hours and years playing in it. Felt houses are a fantastic idea the kiddies can play with these inside on a rainy day or take the house outside for some sunshine fun. Maybe when they are older they can even sleep in here on a nice night.

gifts_kids_nzFor a slighter older child an art caddy would be a fantastic gift. Fill it up with some arts and crafts and that will be one happy crafter.
