Hammering nails the safe way

Recently when I was making my bugalow I was nailing the back onto the frame and didn’t want to hit my fingers.  So I thought why not use my wonderful bamboo pegs to hold the nail in place so I have no risk of hitting my fingers.

nail_saf_hammeringSo next time you have some nailing to do grab a peg and place the nail in the peg and hammer away.

I know silly right? Proper trades people don’t hit their fingers. But hey I’m not a trades person so here you go. How not to hit your fingers too. Good luck.

I have never heard it called a “peg” before, but that is a fantastic idea! And I really like NZ and would like to visit one day. I have college friends who were from there (Auckland) and my brother lived there for a couple years and met his wife there (who happened to be from the same State we live in here in the US)! Thanks for the post! I will remember this tip (and pin it on Pinterest so I don’t forget).

Ha ha funny. Yes that is a very “Kiwi” term. We also say it with really strong accents s it can actually sound like peegs (or pigs). You’re welcome. I actually think I may have seen this on pinterest once? Dangerous site man I love it!! Come on over NZ really is beautiful. Mx
