I seem to have a bit of a thing for clocks, well making and redoing them. Check out the clock I made for my MIL and the redo of our kitchen clock. Mum bought this super cute clock for John while I was pregnant (before we knew John was a John) and gave it to him today. It is so cute and I love it but it’s little girlie for John’s room. So a few hours and using items I had in my (and mum’s) home and now I have a super fantastic very boyish and very special clock.
I undid the back of the clock and pulled the clock to bits. I took the rim outside and sprayed it with some yellow spray paint I found in the garage. While this dried I cut out a New Zealand road map that mum had (funny that this map has NZ Ecochick’s birth place on it, he he) for the centre of the clock face; I drew around a bowl and cut out the map, then I sprayed it with some spray glue and stuck the map down. I coloured in the pink numbers with a blue permanent marker. Once everything was dry I put it all back together.
John just loves his new clock. It looks great in his room. Now to teach him to stay in bed till after 7.
