4MyEarth reusable bags

A few weeks ago Marcia from 4MyEarth was googling tints of nature stockists and found NZ Ecochick instead! So she sent me an email asking me if I would like to review some of her products. I’ve had my eye on 4MyEarth bags for ages and kept trying to win one; then and low and behold Marcia sends me two to review! Even though 4MyEarth sent me this product to try all views are completely my own.

4MyEarth is a fantastic New Zealand company that makes ethically made reusable lunch wraps. The focus of the company is to let your food go nude and reduce the estimated 105m of plastic wrap that every child adds to the landfill through their normal school lunches each year. I love what 4MyEarth are trying to achieve one snack bag at a time.

4MyEarth sent me a pocket snack bag and a cute cars sandwich wrap (Marcia choose this especially for John isn’t that sweet?). I like these snack bags for so many reasons. Number one reason is of course they are reusable! Normally I put John’s snack food in little containers but I find these can be bulky to take out whereas these snack bags are lovely and compact so I can put both snack bags in the same bag I could only put one container in.
The little snack bag is great for putting little crackers in. I like that it is a pocket as the crumbs don’t fall out. John likes the small bag as he can open and close it himself and so can give himself little snacks. The sandwich wrap is great for sandwiches or large crackers and cheese. The wrap holds together well and opens and closes easily. There are large tags on the bags that you can write your child’s name on so the bags don’t get lost. I am super glad that I have two of these bags now to use over and over again.
Personally if I was to buy these bags I would have bought a snack bag and a sandwich pocket bag as I prefer the pocket to the wrap. I really like these bags I like the way they look and are so easy and versatile to use. I like that little hands find these bags easy to open and get food out for themselves. Definitely worth have a few of these in your cupboard.

Lots of you are asking about washing instructions.

So a note from Marcia re washing instructions:
Hand or machine wash in cold water and air dry.
Pockets fold inside out to clean the corners.
Please ensure the items are completely dry between use to extend the life of our products. We recommend using fabrics bags and an eco friendly powder

Wow, go you! Those look really cool! You’ll have to let us know how you go with washing them, as that’s the only thing I’d be concerned about. I guess if you’re not putting meat in them, then you probably won’t have to worry about most of the little baddies that come from traces of food being left on surfaces sticking around.

Its so weird that you posted this, I just saw these the other day on a website and thought they were a great idea. Just checked back and its even the same brand (for aussies, the website I found was http://www.enviroshop.com.au/Office-School). I did wonder how you cleaned them, can you please report back on that?? I am very interested as sandwiches are our last remaining use of plastic wrap, and I’d love to have an alternative.
