The wonderful folks at Penguin sent me a copy of Lynda Hallinan's Back to the land to give away to one lucky reader. I did a review a few weeks back which you can check out here.
I'm doing my usual easy entries but for the bonus entries I'm going to make you work for it just a little bit.

I would love to read her book, been waiting for it to be cheaper before I buy :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that vegetable is a Kale.
It's something I would like to try to grow in our veggie garden this year :)
Oh and a recipe for kale. This is what my family would like to try and make, after watching 'The Food Truck' on tv :)
ReplyDeleteCrispy Kale Chips
1 bunch kale, leaves only, torn into bite-size pieces
olive oil for sprinkling
salt to taste
1. Preheat oven to 175'C
2. Sprinkle kale leaves with olive oil and salt and toss
3. Place on a silicone baking sheet on an oven tray
4. Bake for 10 minutes until crisp
I look forward to finding other kale recipes :)
I found Kale chips a bit blerg but do really enjoy it in canneloni instead of spinach.
ReplyDeleteI am a new fan and am looking forward to having a good read of your blog tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteI would also say the vegetable is Kale.
I am on my phone so will try and add my recipe for Kale Canneloni when I have a larger keyboard.
